Place heavier, non-breakable items on the bottom of a box and fragile items on top. |

Place items you need to get to near the front of the unit. |

Cover furniture and fabric covered items with cloth and blankets. |

Drain waterbeds thoroughly and pack with mothballs to stop mildew and keep out pests. |

Coat tools and machinery with light oil or vaseline to prevent rust. |

Always lock your storage unit before leaving the premises. |

Insure your items in storage. |
